Murano

The Murano marble was an experiment the whole class attempted, using the large opaque millefiori pieces I brought in. The idea was to create a marble that resembles a Murano glass paperweight, with the millefiori visible under a hemisphere of clear glass and the bottom composed of a colourful amalgam of opaques. While the millefiori pieces spread out more than I intended during application of the clear part, the final result is still quite pleasing, particularly as the heart-shaped center piece was retained. This is quite a large marble as well, which helps imbue a paperweight motif.
