I received three wonderful glass slides from a friend for my birthday, containing works by Piranesi. These gave me the idea to create a kind of magic lantern to display the slides. I drafted the design and set out to make it. However, the first attempt was overly ambitious and lacked sufficient structural support. I salvaged the attempt by converting one of the lantern sides into this solitary slide display stand.
